The Calluqueo Glacier is a huge mass of ancient ice that descends on the western slope of Mount San Lorenzo, becoming the main glacier of this mountain. Account at its base with a beautiful colored lake, result of the large amount of sediment that carry the waters from the top of the Hill.
Departure from Cochrane at 09:00 am to go to the viewpoint of Calluqueo Glacier (1hr app), where the specialized guide will give a talk on the activity and deliver the equipment. We will cross the Calluqueo peri-glacier lake in a smaller boat for 15 to 20 minutes, then begin an initial 100-meter walk along the front face of the glacier, and then continue walking through a moraine 500 meters up (45 min).
At this point, we will not put the necessary equipment to start the Ice-Trek for an hour and a half until we reach the sector of the waterfall that falls to the glacier where we will take a break and take our box lunch. After having enjoyed the greatness of this place we will return to the boat in order to return to Cochrane.
